When we think of “black beauty,” we think brown skin, full lips and hour-glass curves. We think natural hair. We think cheekbones. A small dose of broad nose, dark skin or big lips —  but never all on one plate.  The idea of black beauty is preferred over the actual diversity of black beauty.  Blackness–laced with the Eurocentric beauty standards that have been force fed to us over the years — is widely defined by just a small percentage of our community.
