Miley Cyrus’ Scatterbrained W Magazine Interview is Gold
I think I may have fallen in love with Miley Cyrus.
The Hannah Montana craze began way after my time; I was too busy looking for the perfect prom dress back then. Once Cyrus dropped the Disney image and went all bad girl on us, I was bored and unimpressed. Her “Backyard Sessions” earned my respect for her vocal abilities but I still had no interest in her wild tongue-wagging shenanigans. It was not until I read her latest interview that I finally got why she’s so loveable. While I’m not a “Smiley,” which is a nickname for her stans, I feel comfortable saying that I am at least an admirer.
The Bangerz pop star chats with Ronan Farrow for W Magazine‘s March issue. Cyrus, who is barely recognizable in the steamy black and white spread, goes off on tangents as she rambles about her frustration with critics, aliens from outer space, and the importance of water. Farrow perfectly describes her as “a human text message.” As a fellow scatterbrained thinker, I enjoy her quirks. She’s not poised, she isn’t delicate, she’s not filtered at all. Though I believe the hip-hop booty-shaking shtick is exactly that, what is authentic about Ms. Cyrus is her rebellious spirit. I’m sure once she really comes into her own as an artist, she’ll make music that truly reflects who she is.
Check out some of the most fantastic lines from her interview:

“I think with, like, Instagram, Twitter, whatever, everyone is a paparazzi now. How scary is that? Like, you’re never safe.”
