I Tried It: Pajama Jeans
It’s 3 A.M. and you can’t sleep. You turn on the television to catch up on your infomercials. Ah, what’s this? Pajama Jeans — a jean and pajama pant hybrid, you say? While the fashion gods may snub their noses at anything comfy, I shamelessly admit that I was incredibly interested. The good folks over at Pajama Jeans reached out and gave me a pair to try. Check out my totally honest and unbiased review below.
Note: I tried two different styles: a skinny and a bootcut.
The Fit
Skinny jean: This fit was my favorite of the two. I really loved the way it hugged all of my curves. The fabric is really soft and stretchy. It’s more jean than it is pajama, so I don’t think I’ll be lounging in the house with these.
Bootcut: This style ran a bit smaller in size. I got a large in both pairs, but the bootcut didn’t fit as well as the skinny. Despite the size issue, this pair was very pajama-like. I was bummed that it didn’t fit because I would totally wear it around the house. The fabric is very soft. The pants also comes with a drawstring for that comfy loungewear effect.
What I love
- Soft fabric
- Comfy fit (once you find the right size)
- Versatility –You can literally run to the market in your pjs and not feel bad about it.

What I don’t love
- Not true to size ( if you buy a bootcut style, be sure to order up a size)
- Durability — Don’t expect longevity of regular jeans (Especially if your thighs rub together 👀 #TeamNoGap)
Pajama Jeans are really just a more “jean-y” version of jeggings, which are basically leggings that look like jeans (but not really). Pajama Jeans are a bit pricier ($49.99) than your average stretchy pants but they legit look like real jeans. They also come in several different styles, designs, and colors, making this an actual fashion piece rather than just loungewear. As we enter fall/winter (see: hibernation mode) and lose our summer bodies, stretchy pants are the absolute go-to — especially during the most delicious holidays!
