Black Twitter Reveals the #DangerousBlackKids of America

Don’t trust those little faces!

Michael Dunn, the Florida white man who shot and killed black teen Jordan Davis, has been found guilty.  The jury found Dunn guilty of three counts of attempted second-degree murder and a count of firing into an occupied car.

It was back in 2012 when Davis was shot while sitting in a SUV with friends listening to music outside of a Jacksonville, FL convenience store. Unfortunately, the “thug music,” as Dunn described it, was too loud for the older man’s liking.  After arguing over the volume, the 45-year-old proceeded to take out his gun and shoot into the carful of teens, killing Davis.

Soon after the verdict was announced, Black Twitter unleashed the vengeful and derisive hashtag #DangerousBlackKids. Photos of innocent and adorable black children were tweeted with captions of suspicion.

Although the captions are ridiculous and humorous, the bizarre nature is no different than the outrageous assumptions made by the killers of innocent black children. What will it take for society to stop labeling unarmed black kids as an instant threat?
