3 Day Detox Diary: Day 3 (And What I Ate Post Detox)
FINALLY IT’S ALL OVER!
By day 3, I was so over this detox. I didn’t really have hunger pains, I just missed eating real, delicious, solid foods. I noticed I was bloated, which was shocking since the day before I had a flat tummy. However, I did some research and learned that if you consume a sudden increase of fruits and vegetables, you’ll experience some bloating. Just my luck, huh? I finally eat on a strict healthy diet and I still get bloated. Oh well. This was a great detox; I highly recommend.
Benefits I experienced from the detox:
- Clear and glowing skin
- A feeling of lightness
- A more relaxed slumber at night
- More energy
- Positive moods

I included meditation into my 3-day plan to keep me motivated and centered. Today is the day I broke my fast. I started with the lemon ginger drink since it kick starts the metabolism (I’m definitely keeping this part of my morning regime). For breakfast I had 1 gluten-free coconut flour pancake with homemade syrup (fresh orange juice, orange zest, water, honey and a splash of rum), scrambled egg whites with peppers and parsley, and turkey bacon. Although I wasn’t exactly starving this morning, I was extremely happy to eat tasty meals again. 🙂
